General Comments not specific to any category

•  If there is no documentation, the item will not be judged to afford the entrant the opportunity to better exhibit their piece and re-enter the next fair.

Entry Requirements for Writing Entries

• Five copies of the entry must be submitted to the Kingdom A&S officer at least 1 month prior to the faire where it is being judged. Electronic submissions are acceptable – only 1 copy is needed in this case.
• Printed entries must be printed in a clear and legible font in no less than 10 pt. type. Arial and Times New Roman are the preferred fonts.

Writing: Creative

• Works should be set in a time and place in both style and content.
• Avoid the three categories of "bad SCA poetry,": (1) Unicorns and rainbows, (2) I love my lord/lady sooo much, and (3) My (SCA) Kingdom, right or wrong.
• If working in a foreign language, provide a translation.
• Filk will not be accepted.
• Content and style of the piece is documented to a specified time and place within the SCA period.
• Five copies of the entry must be submitted to the Kingdom A&S officer at least 1 month prior to the faire where it is being judged. Electronic submissions are acceptable – only 1 copy is needed in this case. Electronic submissions must be in a generally accepted format – Word is preferred, RTF (Rich Text Format) is allowed.
• Printed entries must be printed in a clear and legible font in no less than 10 pt. type. Arial and Times New Roman are the preferred fonts.
• A musical composition may ALSO be performed.
